Import my existing Dryad datasets into my ORCID profile

I want my Dryad datasets to be included in my ORCID works profile. It is time consuming to add each one manually.

A Dryad->ORCID importer could be one of the importer choices on the ORCID website, beside the Scopus importer (ORCID welcomes importer contributions!), or an option from my profile on the Dryad website.

I think that an import via DataCite makes more sense than a direct import: less development work and less confusing for users. As one of the authors of the DataCite/ORCID import tool I am happy to add features important for Dryad.

Thanks to the ORCID-DataCite Interoperability Project (http://odin-project.eu) there is a prototype tool available for searching and claiming works in DataCite. It is available at http://datacite.labs.orcid-eu.org. The tool can be used to claim not only datasets in Dryad but also datasets, preprints, posters, etc. from any other repository that uses DataCite DOIs. We hope to see this functionality integrated within the ORCID site. In the meantime, please let us know what you think of the prototype. Some known issues: (a) it is not clear how best to handle related records, such as IsPartOf or IsPreviousVersionOf. These are currently suppressed, but it might be valuable to expose them, esp. where authorship may differ; (b) there is no bulk import yet (such as exists for the Scopus importer).
